let's catch up.

it has been FOREVER. the kitchen is now 99.9% done! woot! woot! i'm ready to start on the second half of the house, but we may wait awhile.

i have come to realize i prefer furniture and fabric over shoes and clothes. so i think i need to hurry up and get this whole career thing going...or get a second job.

i heart this bed. i heart it real hard.

ooh la la!

Went to Target tonight and tried to make down the shoe aisle without stopping. Let me say, I was NOT  successful! 

 Not really sure why, but i knew i had to have them! 

I take that back. I thought they were FABULOUS and HAD TO HAVE THEM!

One down six to go...

The windows and hardware have been painted so much that we have decided to go ahead and strip them. Not a big deal, right? Doesn't sound like much, but it took us FOREVER.  We have successfully stripped, sanded, puttied, primed, and painted one window.  It is tedious, but worth it.

The hardware has been the real Cinderella.

On the way to school this morning, I swung into McDonald's for a healthy breakfast. When I got to the window to pay, the cashier told me she didn't need my money because the woman in front of me had taken care of it.

what?

why?

Apparently, she liked my ride.
Oh yeah. I have a sweet ride--245k miles on my sin wagon.

Of course, I was happy/obligated to pass it on to the car behind me...somewhere somebody got a free breakfast this morning.

Way to start a Friday.

Couch of the day!

This sofa makes me tick, too. 

A white sofa? Not necessarily. I love the white, but it just wouldn't work for us. We are dirty. We have dogs. So I'm thinking an oatmeal or red color. 

Don't hold me to that.

Pictures do not do this place justice. The first time I visited Alys' pool, it was raining. I stood there (in the rain) for two minutes and thanked God for creating the talented people who created this amazing place. Praise be to God. AMEN.

Change is in the air

With the kitchen almost done, and the dining room 80% done--I am ready to start on the living room. 

(I guess I'm getting a little ahead of myself.)
